I'm off to see my mates band tonight - Bender Crack Corn.

They're a 4 piece band which specialise in the ancient art of SKIFFLE :D

Will post a video of the funniest cover I have heard in my life. :D

They used to play at a pub my mate worked at quite often.

Oh yes, skiffle bands still exist.

As promised, here's my video from last night - the end of the soundcheck (warning, contains swearing) and 2 songs - Spice Up Your Life and Ace Of Spades!

Bit miffed to find Mr B has sold out...

Was he playing in Exeter? I wanted to see him at the Havana Bar last year but I think tickets for that venue had sold out too :(

Anyway, on Tuesday I saw The King Blues at the Lemmy in Exeter. They're really good live (they sound better live than in the studio) and the crowd turned into a moshpit within about 10 seconds!

How many crap ones do you have to go to for each good one? :)
I tend to pick ones that suit my taste in music, its difficult sometimes though. I frequently have to sit through what can be best described as white noise, thank god I'm not a review writer!

How can you photograph music ;)

With Great difficulty haha, I shall rephrase, I am a concert photographer!

Hopefully seeing Lacuna Coil and Voodoo Six next week. Both in small tight venues. At least Lacuna Coil are at the Pheonix this time so might actually get to see them! (Knee High stage at the Lemon Grove means only the front row get a view)

The Brighton Lacuna Coil gig on Wednesday was well worth going to. Will see them again in London on Tuesday.

Got to be careful with knee high stages - thought I was going to end up with broken legs when I went to see Queen Adreena in Leeds at Joseph's Well - thin long room with lots of pushing and me on the front row.

The Cockpit is like that too, except it's more waist height (oh, and Rio's too)

Been to quite a few Rick Wakeman gigs -- his "one man and my piano" show is quite something.

Went to see Adam Ant in Leeds last night, really enjoyed his performances but it was the most bizarre gig I have ever been to. Having played all the 'big stuff' earlier in the show, we expected him to finish with Prince Charming. However, that was the penultimate song, and after it he played some other song which I'd not heard before (sounded almost Def Leppard style), after that he ran off the stage without a word, the lights came on, the stage started being cleared and everyone left!

Yep last night - might be worth keeping an eye on www.kinkyandquirky.com (Contains Burlesque may be NSFW) as they will probably be arranging any future shows.

Voodoo Six were awesome a couple of weeks ago!

Went to see The Fall at the IndigO2 the other week. Awesome gig and I managed to get some half-decent pics, despite dire warnings about photography from the venue, which was, to be honest, very soul-less.

I have been to only two proper gigs, and I passed out at both of them.

Greenday - Milton Keynes Bowl (the gig they filmed to create "Bullet in a Bible"; 130,000 people) but I know how much people dislike Greenday so...

Reel Big Fish - Wolverhampton Civic Hall.

Something a bit cooler, M People, one of the singers' kids went to my school so they performed a private gig for us. Was pretty amazing.

Some friends went to see them in Newcastle a few weeks ago, they said the singer was drunk to the point of almost passing out and all of his speech was slurred to the point of being incomprehensible

Ah, now I remember the old Rio's...

Off to see them in the New Year in Halifax. Until recently I knew the drummer (Well,I still know her, but she's no longer Adam Ant's drummer. Or girlfriend).

Which Rammstein gig? I'm doing *ahem* four. the wife's at Manchester with me.

And the wife and I may turn up at download - not quite decided that one yet.

Going a bit retro too - the wife and I will be seeing FM in Manchester and London in March so a few different rail journeys for me (including a couple of uses of Cuddington or Runcorn due to staying at a friend's.

I'm hoping to get a day ticket. No prizes for guessing which band I'm interesting in (hint: they're Brummies)

Last saw them at Aylesbury town hall with my girlfriend (now wife). Was reasonably impressed until she mentioned that this 1000 capacity venue which we were on the front row of wasn't the smallest place she's seen them.
