probably a bit early but was wondering if any one had route/timing info on this as it looks like it might be comming my way towards southampton

I'm on this tour. I believe the route is the SW main line to Basingstoke then through Andover, Salisbury to Exeter that way

I must say, this is the best named railtour for quite some time

The train will run from London Waterloo via Salisbury and Honiton Bank to Exeter St Davids.

On the return journey we retrace our steps to Exeter, then continue via Taunton and up the Berks & Hants route to Reading. Finally, with shoes back on the third rail, we head back to Waterloo via Staines.

No where near Southampton, and this was taken from the link above.
