We change to the BLM Line which involves taking a cable car operated by Bergbahn Lauterbrunnen-Mürren (but no route number), to Grütschalp. We leave Lauterbrunnen at 12:38 and we arrive at Grütschalp station at 12:42. Monday afternoon.

We can now take a short ride on the isolated (and half way up a mountain!) railway to Murren. We take BLM train R761 which leaves Grütschalp station at 1314 and arrives at Murren BLM station at 1328 on Monday afternoon.

We are set up for some serious cable car action by following George Lazenby in On Her Majestys Secret Service to the summit of the Schilthorn, although we might like to stay inside the cable car, unlike Jame Bond!

Hmm, twelve minutes to get to the cable car station for the next departure. We'll be both shaken and stirred if we fail to make it in time. So we will amble through this picturesque village content with boarding the next service.

This is the LSMS (Luftseilbahn Stechelberg-Mürren-Schilthorn) 1410 departure. We get out the cable car this time only when it has arrived and it is safe to do so.
We glance at our watch, which oddly we are only just aware of. A vague memory assails us of a man with a very short name having give us the timepiece. R? Was that it?
Anyway it's now 1427 on Monday afternoon and we are looking out for baddies, we can only hope we have an uneventful journey back down the mountain...

We return back down the mountain on the 1433 cable car, no baddies on this trip luckily and we arrive at the bottom station of the cable car, Stechelberg, Schilthornbahn at 1505 on Monday afternoon.

When I did this trip a few years ago, as we descended we could see the postbus driving along the valley towards the cable car station. Would we make it? - Its Switzerland - of course we did!

Seems we too can watch the Postbus travel along the valley.

Just seven minutes for a seamless connection from cable car to omnibus.

1512 for our departure on PostAuto Schweiz number 141 swiftly to Lauterbrunnen, Bahnhof arriving at 1525 on the Monday afternoon.

We then decide to slowly meander back up to an airport. However, this requires a change so we make the required positioning move - boarding the N14 night bus and taking it all the way to its terminus of Cibeles. We arrive there at 00:33 the next (Wednesday) morning.
