GENERAL INFORMATION

There has been some publicity today surrounding West Coast Railways starting to operate a shuttle service between Oxenholme Lake District and Windermere.

However, there is currently no official information regarding these services on either Northern's website or National Rail Enquiries. More importantly for us, they do not show up on journey planners for dates later this week. (Remember, the existence of a path on Realtime Trains does not necessarily validate the move.) Additionally, West Coast Railway Co are not a National Rail train operating company, so until such a time as the shuttle service becomes an official one operated on behalf of Northern, Oxenholme Lake District to Windermere remains on the prohibited list.

Of course I will continue to keep a beady eye open, and make an announcement should circumstances change.
