Just out of interest, I've noticed that whilst NER no.985 (from North Norfolk/Beamish) often visits other railways for galas etc, 1310, beautifully restored in NER green at the Middleton Railway rarely, if ever, leaves home.
It seems there's decent demand for 985... so does anyone know why not 1310? Is it because Middleton's steam fleet is quite small so they can't afford to send it out at the moment?
