The Royal Duchy run on the 2nd of September proved to be eventful. 34052 Lord Dowding worked the train from Taunton to Par after West Coast 37668 had brought the train in from Bristol Temple Meads. I videoed the down train at 3 locations , Marlands at Whiteball, Langford Bridge and Treboul. After lunch in Paignton it was off to Dawlish for the return. While having a drink in the Marine Tavern we heard that 37668 had been dispatched to Plymouth to work the train as the coal ordered for St Blazey had not arrived and 34052 only had enough to get to Plymouth. We saw and videoed 37668 light engine on the sea wall and because it was dark by the time it got to the area we videoed the 37 storming through Tiverton Parkway, digging in for the climb to Whiteball.
