Severn Tunnel Junction is not the nicest of places to wait, especially at this hour, so we quickly board the 2235 Great Western Railway service 2C95 to Lawrence Hill, arriving there at 2300 on Friday evening.

We leave the railway station and take the eight minute walk to the bus stop on Richmond Way where we board the 0830 First Kernow service A17 to Gudgvan (the bus stop opposite to The Old Inn) that arrives at 0842 on Saturday morning.

Hold on, this service departed a minute later than the arrival of the previous service (2332), so this definitely isn't valid.
Oops, I think I read 23:23 not 23:32 (all those 3s and 2s!). I think that invalidates a few posts after too, sorry. Looks like we're stuck at BTM, having just missed the last train of the day by a minute or two. No matter, we'll get the 5:24 GWR service to Penzance, arriving 10:17 Saturday Morning.

We make our way into the railway station and board the 1923 Great Western Railway service to Swansea that arrives at 2145 on Saturday evening.

There aren't direct services from Chippenham to South Wales except for engineering works (or sometimes the first and last services on a weekday). In the normal working timetable the only westbound HSTs from Chippenham are at 1910 and 1946.

Point noted and the offending posting is now struck-through. I shall not "Pass Go", Collect £200 and "Go straight to jail"

We are still on the outside approach to Chippenham station.

You've landed us in a hole there. As far as I can see, both the last train and the last bus have left, but it's not 23:00. What are we supposed to do (or is there a way out I've missed)?

We can go through to the next day, the 23:00 is only an 'even if there are night services' deadline, so if we can go somewhere we can't stop before. So we now can use any service within two hours of the first in the morning.
