That is quite fair in the ‘Colne’ instance, however we do still need to be mindful that trains and buses don’t always form what it appears they should on paper.

It was quite obvious too; it would have been impossible to miss it!

From Newport we then board the 1850 Arriva Midlands service 5 to Stafford (Guildhall Shopping Centre), arriving there at 1922 on Saturday evening.

My thanks go to the forum quizmaster team for clarifying that particular rule in print in the quiz rules shown on the very first posting of this quiz.

Paul, you really have left us well and truly weeping, if you'd pardon the pun! That was the last service of the day, and this area is only served by the 1C and the 825, and both of these do not run on a Sunday, so we'll have to slum it until Monday, where we board the 0659 Arriva Midlands service 825 to Rugeley (Bus Station), arriving there at 0731 on Monday morning.

A query was raised some time ago on another thread with regards to the use of the two branded names (London Northwestern Railway / West Midlands Railway) used by the main franchise holder West Midland Trains and it was said that a thread of clarification was soon to be made on this website
I did not state that a clarification was soon to be made on that matter.

You did previously ask about what the situation was regarding WMT and its brand names and I did explain WMT is the company name, and linked to the Wikipedia page about the company.

The game rules do ask for the company name (ie. WMT) but it's such a minor issue, it doesn't really matter if anyone forgets, or is unaware of the company name, and uses a brand name instead, it does not need any sort of adjudication or anything like that. It's such a minor thing!
