This timetable is so confusing, I can't tell whether services are going through to Sheffield or whether they are only going as far as Tideswell!

The 0700 departure in the morning shows it's going to Meadowhall, so I'll assume they all are. So we board the 1320 Stagecoach Yorkshire service 65 to Meadowhall (Interchange), arriving there at 1502 on Friday afternoon.

Who came up with the ridiculous village names you get every so often?

Last bus of the day, doesn't look like there's much about. We can just about walk to another bus stop, so we take the 10 minute (0.5 mile) walk over Black Sike Dike to Woodhead Road/Burnlee Road to board the 19:39 First Halifax, Calder Valley & Huddersfield service 314 to Lockwood (Lockwood Road/Swan Lane), arriving for 20:01 on Friday evening.

The bus stop for the Navigation is a little west of the pub, which makes it just too far from the station I believe (12 mins, 0.6 miles).

Aah right, I just calculated the distance from the pub itself. Rather than getting embroiled in more bus action, i'll return to hibernation!
