We walk over to the temporary bus stop to board the 00:10 Powells Bus Company tram replacement bus service BL1 to Halfway (Park & Ride), arriving there for 00:28 in the early hours of Saturday morning.
We retire for the evening but only have a few hours to wait for the 0440 Stagecoach Yorkshire service 120 to Royal Hallamshire Hospital (Beech Hill Road/Glossop Road), arriving there at 0532 on Saturday morning.
We take the 8 minute (0.3 mile) walk to the Moor Oaks Road bus stop to board the 05:45 Stagecoach Yorkshire service 52 to Hillsborough (Langsett Road), arriving for 05:56 on Saturday morning.
We walk across to Hillsborough Interchange, and board the 0630 First South Yorkshire service 98 to Dore & Totley Station, arriving there at 0731 on Saturday morning.
We exit the station and take the four minute walk to the bus stop on the junction of High Street/Cross Street, where we board the 1051 Stagecoach East Midlands Humber Flyer service 250 to Hull (Interchange), arriving there at 1250 on Saturday afternoon.
We walk into the nearby station and grab a coffee whilst waiting for the 13:25 Northern service to Doncaster, arriving for 14:19 on Saturday afternoon.
We exit the station onto Princes Street and there board the 1839 Lothian Buses service 25 to Restalrig (Sleigh Drive/Findlay Avenue), arriving there at 1856 on Saturday evening.
Trains are surprisingly quite limited so instead we wait for the 2155 Lothian Buses service 26 to Prestonpans (Ox Walk), arriving there at 2245 on Saturday evening.
There is still one more journey so we may as well use it, which is the 0033 East Coast Buses service 106 to Musselbrugh (Police Station), arriving there at 0058 in the early hours of Sunday morning.
