We walk smartly (via the footpath short cut under the railway line) the 500 yards to Corpus Christi School and there board the 21:55 National Express Coventry service 23 toAllesley Park (The Chilterns) where we arrive at 22:31 on Saturday evening

Not much else around here, and it looks as if the same bus forms the return journey, so we return on the 2235 National Express Coventry service 23 to Binley (Kynner Way), arriving there at 2315 on Saturday evening.

To avoid being stuck here until about 08:30 on Sunday we re-board the same bus which turns round here at this time of night and forms the 23:18 National Express Coventry service 23 to Coventry (Sainsburys) where we arrive at 23:43 on Saturday evening.

Only further departure I can see is over in Pool Meadow bus station, where we board the 0020 National Express West Midlands Platinum service X1 to Yardley (Swan Island), arriving there at 0106 in the early hours of Sunday morning.

We take an overnight break and in the morning catch the 06:30 National Express West Midlands service 30 to Birmingham Moor Street Station where we arrive at 06:50 on Sunday morning.

To avoid a two-hour wait the only option is to get on the next National Express West Midlands service 45 at 08:36, taking us to Longbridge Station where we arrive at 08:41 on Sunday morning

There being buses here only on Tuesdays and Thursdays, we wait for the 16:29 South Western Railway service 2S45 to take us on to Salisbury where we arrive at 16:48 on Sunday afternoon.

Wanting to head up the Severn and there being no buses here on Sundays, we wait for the 20:48 Transport for Wales service 2G60 to Gloucester where we arrive at 21:30 on Sunday evening.

We exit the station and walk round the corner to Tesco. There we board the 11:15 First South West and Wales service 356 to Pembroke (East End) where we arrive at 12:08 on Monday afternoon.

We walk the 0.4 mile walk at a leisurely pace to the rail station to catch the 17:26 Transport for Wales service to Cardiff Central, arriving for 20:13 on Monday afternoon.

We exit the station and take the four minute walk to the bus stop opposite the Philharmonic, where we board the 2035 Cardiff Bus service 45 to St Mellons (Police Station), arriving there at 2109 on Monday evening.

Well at the moment the buses in Penarth are on an early finish, so we return on the 2228 Transport for Wales service 2A23 to Grangetown, arriving there at 2235 on Monday evening.
