We exit the station and take the four minute walk to the bus stop on the junction of High Street/Cross Street, where we board the 1605 Stagecoach East Midlands Humber Flyer service 250 to Hull (Interchange), arriving there at 1805 on Tuesday evening.

From inside the railway station, we take the 1818 Northern service to Beverley arriving at 1831 on Tuesday.

Sadly, the 246 towards Hornsea left five minutes beforehand (not the greatest connection in the world but I guess we can't be picky in current times!), so instead we wait for the 1932 Northern service 1G56 to Scarborough, arriving there at 2041 on Tuesday evening.

We walk outside the station and catch the 2050 Arriva North East Service X93 to High Hawsker, Hawkser Bottoms arriving at 2131 on Tuesday.

That was actually the last bus of the day from here, and although the next morning there is a bus at 06:27 going back to Scarborough we do not wish to return that way and instead wait a bit longer to travel in the other direction on the 0834 Arriva North East Max service X93 to Middlesbrough (Bus Station), arriving there at 1001 on Wednesday morning.

You are right, Google Maps hasn't updated the fact that the 83 only runs between Manchester and Oldham and only goes to Sholver in the evenings. Oldham to Sholver is served by the 82 instead, in which there's one at 1730 arriving at Pearly Bank at 1755. Original post updated to reflect this.
