Not sure if you still require this or not but as of 14:15 today the following were showing at Leicester LIP:Could anyone provide a list of locos at Leicester LIP? Many thanks.
My best guess is that it was Cardiff Tidal that you went past. Don't know if the times tie up but as of 14:15 GBRf 66753 was showing on TOPS as being there (it was also on a TOPS list from 07:10 this morning as well so spent much of, if not all, of the day there) so that would be my best guess on that.Odd one folks... I’m in Cardiff, earlier I drove around a road near the seafront, passed Sims Metals and Celsa manufacturing- not sure exactly where ... but there were 3 08 shunters and a GBRF 66 stabled.... can anyone ID them? Sorry - not at home so struggling with the location!
Thanks - that makes sense. It was about 5pm, one of the shunters was definitely orange... and pretty sure one had a red cab as well..My best guess is that it was Cardiff Tidal that you went past. Unfortunately, I don't have access to any TOPS lists regarding shunters so I only have my own database which I try my best to keep up to date but shunters are not easy to keep on top of. However, I have checked through my own info and have the following shunters listed at Cardiff Tidal....
08630 - in black Celsa livery with a red cab
08877 - in grey livery
09106 - Harry Needle Rail (HNR) Orange
I also have 08924 (in GBRf Blue/Yellow livery) as being a Cardiff Tidal shunter but my last update I've added to this loco is that it was moved to Barrow Hill in October last year for repairs but have no idea if it is still there or has moved back to Cardiff sorry!
I've included the liveries in the hope that you might be able to remember the liveries to assist with you ID'ing the shunters. Sorry I don't have any clearer info but thought I would share in case no-one can offer anything else
