Jamie Steel informs me that Midland Mainline HSTs from Sheffield to London are non-stop Chesterfield to Leicester, with some calling at Loughborough. Midland Mainline Meridians are all curtailed at Derby, except those that run north of Derby, which are diverted via Toton and do not call at Derby. Virgin Trains are running a reduced hourly service from Sheffield to Derby and onwards to Penzance/Newcastle areas. Central Trains services to Matlock are all bustituted.

I went through Toton yesterday on a MML HST to Sheffield- however I didn't realise until the train rushed through Alfreton!

Lots of locos there too but unfortanately the train was going too fast to get them all noted down! So if anyone knows what was in Toton yesterday morning would it would a great help to me, notably the string of 08s and four 67s.

You see our MR-B Riddings headshunt, loop and mainline connection branch just after Pye Bridge and before Langley Mill?
I did notice a minor siding last time I was down there, yep ;) .

I've noticed it before when I went past on a Midland Mainline service to Manchester, it looked a tad overgrown though.
