Routes are:

Cleethorpes-Barton on Humber
Cleethorpes-Doncaster
Doncaster-Sheffield(Via Swinton, Rotherham Central and Thrybergh)

Traction 153/170/185.

Earliest book on 0458
Latest finish 0340(Mainline Turn + Shed)

No idea on number of Vacancies yet, a few Drivers are reaching Retirement age so could be a couple or more.

When did that change, as I've had a number of Cleethorpes drivers take the unit through to Manchester in the past.

Since TPE Started? if Cleethorpes Drivers signed Manchester Airport it would remove the need for a Depot at Sheffield.

They're also advertising at Blackpool and Sheffield.

Nobody is leaving at Cleethorpes i'm told, just building up numbers.

True, I hope TPE don't suffer too much as a result of the recent bad press surrounding the First (or Last!) Group.

There's only one night turn as far as i know.

Sign on 2150, Work 2210 to Manc Airport and return.

The night turn the Guards do(Shef-Airport and back, 3 hrs break, Shef-Airport and back)used to be the same as what the Drivers did, but i now think they sign on to do the 0340 to Manc Airport now.

dunno, i suppose the nearest northern depots are Donny or Hull over the water, not sure what rate of pay TPE drivers are on these days.

Surely Northern wouldn't try and operate a service that they can't even get their own staff for?! :|

Who pays the TPE staff for working the turn? TPE? Northern?

This kind of arrangment isnt as uncommon as you would think, Freightliner drivers were contracted to work TPE Scottish services and Northern have been contracted to work TPE services in the past. The crews are paid by their own empoyer who is collecting revenue from whichever TOC is paying them to operate the service which in the long run can work out cheaper than ferrying your own crews around in taxis or running ECS from far away.

To answer the 158 man:

TPE i believe are paid £500 each by Northern to supply a Driver and Guard for each Cleethorpes-Barton service.

Currently no Doncaster Drivers sign the route, Some Guards do. Doncaster Crew sign Cleethorpes "Main" for an ECS move in the mornings.

TPE also supply Crew for a Hull-Scarborough Service due to the early closing of Signalboxes north of Bridlington(may have changed now).

While we're on the subject, does anyone know what turns/routes the TPE Drivers & Conductors based at York work?

Also, what about the Drivers & Conductors based at Scarborough? What are their turns?

Do TPE have a traincrew base at Liverpool? I've never seen one. If they do, what do they sign? I'd imagine through to Leeds, Manc Airport and maybe up to Preston as well as the Newton line.

Looks more interesting than reality though I guess. Most are diversions which you aren't likely to see more than a couple of times per year. I've highlighted those.
