I think there’s only ever one test/mileage run at anyone time. As far as I could tell, this week’s activity was:

Monday
68026 ‘Enterprise’ plus set 9 mileage run MID-Carlisle-Bletchley-MID

Monday/Tuesday overnight
68030 ‘Destroyer’ plus set 6 test run
MID-Eccles-York-Eccles-MID

Tuesday/Wednesday overnight
68030 ‘Destroyer’ plus set 6 test run
MID-Crewe-Liverpool
Liverpool-Crewe
Crewe-Liverpool
Liverpool-Crewe
Crewe-MID

Wednesday/Thursday night
68026 ‘Enterprise’ plus set six test run
Departed MID 244 late with 15:45 to Scarborough, caped at York Holgate Loop (probably due to operating hours of manual signal boxes on the Scarborough line). Then:
York-Marsden
Marsden-Leeds
Leeds-MID

Thursday/Friday night
68026 ‘Enterprise’ plus set six test run
MID-Scarborough
Scarborough-MID

Always happy to be corrected if anyone has any alterations.

So quite a mixed week from an enthusiasts point of view, I was at York for Wednesday evening’s run but saw the train turn back in Holgate! Hopefully it was a successful week for the various tests:)

Thanks for that summary, very useful/interesting.

Thank you for saying so and very welcome:)

One thing that surprised me at York on Thursday was that unlike on the trips in early February there was no door opening. Maybe ASDO (if that was being tested) was just being checked at stations with short platforms.

All the info screens inside and out were working perfectly:)

It looks like there’s a distinct lack fun across the Pennines this week. The only possible working I can see is a light engine run.

Monday 1st April 2019
10:26 Crewe Gresty Bridge DRS-York P SD
Returning as
15:01 York P SD to Manchester International Depot.

It’s an odd one, in the past such moves have been TP crews but this one isn’t. At the moment York P SD is empty but I guess the working might be one or more of 68020/21/29 going home.

There is a customer testing run booked for Monday night but the route has not been decided yet.

E840E784-CEC6-48E0-B722-5A4C05308B11.jpeg 68024 ‘Centaur’, which I assume worked in on today’s 10:26 Crew Gresty Bridge DRS to York P SD.

68020 ‘Reliance’ has gone from platform 2, so maybe that was on the 15:01 York-MID.

Not sure why this has been posted here, as it's got nothing to do with Class 68's or Mk5A stock. It's just a WTT path that is available to move FLHH loco's across the Pennines from their depot. There's a WTT path in the opposite direction, too.

That'll be right, although the York to Manchester path was changed today and went to Crewe Gresty Bridge.

Can't seem to find on RTT have you got a link to the RTT page

If you put Lonsight Down Goods Loop into RTT that covers all the test trains. The telltale sign is that usually the Class 68 hauled ones are listed as ‘Diesel Locomotive trailing load 245 tonnes’. I say ‘usually’ because things planned at very short notice can display something else (see the links in post 2890 for examples!).

The usual circuit for mileage accumulation is:
05:15 MID-Carlisle
http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/P86061/2019/04/03/advanced

08:12 Carlisle-Bletchley
http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/K01579/2019/04/03/advanced

15:32 Bletchley-MID
http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/P86062/2019/04/03/advanced

I’ve copied links for you for what seem to be Wednesday’s workings but please do be aware things do change at very short notice and there’s no guarantee of them running.

Your best bet is to do the RTT search for Longsight Down Goods Loop before setting out. Good luck:)

68024 'Centaur' should be running in the usual paths today between York and Scarborough on driver refresh trips (08.00, 10.00, 12.00, 14.00 ex York and 09.00, 11.00, 13.00, 15.00 ex Scarborough).

Today's runs from Carlisle to Bletchley are cancelled due to a problem with the train - unsure whether it's the coaches or the loco.

You never know, perhaps that’s all it needs to be signed off;)
We can always hope!

That would be really excellent. However, I saw a description of the run elsewhere described as "a fault finding run" rather than "fault free mileage accumulation", whilst probably somewhat tongue-in-cheek I sadly fear that there is some real truth in it.

Saw it en route to Crewe a while ago. Smart looking set! Thanks for all the excellent photos sjpowermac :).
Yes, very smart looking indeed.

I’m pleased that you like the pictures, greatly appreciated. I just wish there were a few more chances to see the Nova 3s through York;)

Hmmm, just how many more faults can there be to find? Anyhow, fingers crossed, as ever;)
