I see the Sunday TPE 68 diagrams are now reduced to a single set shuttling between York and Scarborough all day. Until recently there were 2 sets out, which included a limited Liverpool service, so the "improved" Sunday service is actually worse (from a 68 basher's viewpoint).

One question: The 68 diagram seems to start at Scarborough with 1T60 09:32 to York, and finishes with 1P92 19:34 Scarborough - Manchester Airport. So how are the diagrams balanced? Is there an overnight Manchester - York which is 68 worked Mondays Only, or is 1P92 not 68 worked at all on Sundays?

Any ideas?

There are two diagrams on normal sundays, today there are engineering works.

I understand 1P92 is booked for a Class 185 tonight. Three diagrams on a Sunday for Class 68 from 13/09, except when engineering work is taking place.

I had noticed there is engineering work between Manchester Victoria and Liverpool Lime Street at weekends in October. I had hoped there might be some diversions taking place with 68s. Apparently not. The TPE website has been updated to show the relevant trains terminating at Victoria. Cheers then.

There are a handful of services diverting via Warrington during the weekends of work, but these are only Newcastles thus they are booked as 802s.

68029 "Courageous" Worked its first service for TPE yesterday, 1E43 1631 ex MCV. This means all fourteen 68s in the TPEX pool plus 33 & 34 have now worked service trains for TPE.
