Traction Hauling 'The Waverly' Charter- (7/7)

I was wondering if anyone had any idea what traction (steam, diesel or both) that will be helping out on The Waverley on Sunday.

Booked to be solely Tangmere 34067 according to the Railway Herald, although I imagine there will be a diesel in the consist somewhere.

47802\826 were quoted for the Saltburn - Bath earlier in the week.47760&57010 were bolted the air con stock ecs move from Burton - Carnforth yesterday. So maybe one of those ?

for most tours it is a 47, especially those associated with WCRC. Alternately, why would you think it might be something else?

A WCRC 37 wouldn't be much good for train supply unless there's a genny van in the consist though...

Booked on it as an expensive treat. Tangmere (at front) Leeds to Carlisle and Carlisle back to Leeds, Diesel (no class or number) York to Leeds and Leeds back to York for operational reasons with diesel at the front and steam at the back!

A quick look at RealTimeTrains suggests the route via Micklefield is blocked, so all trains are running via Castleford. This arrives at Leeds from the West, so the train will be turned at Leeds each way.

Was a great day. Tangmere was flawless. My last time Settle - Carlisle was 1967 and it seemed strange to have a Southern loco pounding the fells, but then again, nowadays, any steam will do!!!
