It is Whatley Quarry so closest town is Frome in Somerset.

Merehead (Tor) Quarry is the actual depot.
Its located between Frome and Shepton Mallet.
As above, Merehead is your base depot.
However, you can book on at either Merehead, Whatley or Westbury (soon to be the cement works).
60 minutes travelling time would essentially encompass anywhere within a rough circle of Bridgwater - Weston Super Mare - Bristol - Bath - Chippenham -Devizes - Salisbury - Gillingham - Yeovil.

That's better for me, around 45 minutes from Sedgemoor. Whatley is 59 minutes .
Maybe not officially, but it's common practice and widely accepted.
Surprised there's that many vacancies considering the amount of trainees currently in the system, at various stages of their training, for Merehead.

Also there are loads of us who have applied and are awaiting outcomes of DMI's etc for these areas still so I am not surprised it wasn't up long!
