Transpennine Express New Franchise driver recruitment

Is their anyone on here including possible tpx staff who can share any insight on any information regarding possible intake of new train drivers/trainee drivers for Manchester. It seems a very long time since TP had a new intake of drivers and since the current franchise change back in April was wondering if their was a drivers school planned on the horizon.

TPE advertised around this time last year for drivers in Manchester, York, Newcastle and Liverpool. Plenty of people went through the recruitment process but TPE have put a recruitment freeze on for drivers for the time being and several successful candidates are on hold in the "tallent pool" until further notice.

Therefore I can conclude it may be a while until TPE advertise for more drivers, pretty much definitely not until the new year.

must be a patient waiting game for those in the pool wondering if going to be given a start date and how many TP will need for Manchester etc.
