Just a random question that occurred to me.

Which two UK passenger stations have the greatest number of different types of rolling stock operating direct passenger services between them on a normal weekday? I’m only interested in booked passenger services, that make actual passenger stops, in non-Covid times. Charters and other one-off trains do not count. I will accept locations where a booked service may pick-up or set-down only at either location.

Different sub-classes of the same unit type count as one. (For example HSTs.)

My starter suggestion is Edinburgh Waverley and Haymarket. Off the top of my head, booked services currently produce the following;

156
158
170
220
221
334
380
385
390
397
HST
800
801

(Edit - added 397, removed 185, 350 & 320.)
(Re-edit - added 156.)

I bet someone can come up with a better example...

You can remove the 350s as they no longer run for TPE (replaced by 397s) and I would imagine there are no booked 185 services anymore

Also 320s won't appear.

Manchester Piccadilly - Stockport will be high on the list.

150
153 (Occasional)
156
158
175
185
220
221
319
323
331
390
HST (occasional)

Going to hard to beat either of those, I'd've thought. A couple of other varied corridors I can think of only total 9 (unless anyone more local can correct them?)

London Waterloo to Clapham Junction

158
159
442
444
450
455
456
458
707

In theory will become 10 for a while, when 701s begin to be introduced and gradually start replacing the 455s, 456s, 458s and 707s.

Birmingham New Street to Wolverhampton

150*
158
170
175*
220
221
323
350
390

*I'm unsure if these are booked workings on TfW services, or if recent workings have just been COVID/stock availability related.

(Edit: Added 350 to Brum/Wolves)

You can add 350s to New Street - Wolverhampton. I've even had a Welsh 153 on that line one Sunday a couple years ago.

HSTs don’t go to Manchester. I think a CrossCountry one has been once but that’s not occasional, it’s almost never.

Manchester Piccadilly to Oxford Road:

68/MK5 (I think very early peak only atm)
150
153 (Occasional)
156
158
175
185
195
319
323
331
397
802

That just beats the OP’s suggestion of Edinburgh Haymarket at thirteen. :)
At some point just before COVID in late 2019, 67/MK3s, 142s and 350s also operated, taking it up to sixteen.

Also Leeds Wakefield Westgate
43
91 (temporary withdrawal)
150
153 (occasional)
155
158
170 (very occasionally goes to Doncaster)
195
220
221
331
800
801

This was, until recently, more as 142 and 144s operated of course, plus 321/322.

You can add 156 (I think?) 802 and the Sleeper

Gloucester to Cheltenham might win out for routes which are diesel-only:

143 - I'm not sure if a TfW one ever ends up there, but it might well do
150
153 - occasionally
158
165
166
170 - now on two different TOCs!
175
Edit: 220 - occasionally
Edit: 221 - occassionally
800
802
Edit: HST - occasionally

Isn't there also a random Voyager which goes via Gloucester heading towards Bristol?

There's also HST: one XC a day (I think) and GWR on Sundays only (Temple Meads to Worcester and back). Also XC 221 and 220, so you can add another 3 to that list

Hull to Brough certainly used to be a contender: at its greatest extent, for a small period towards the end of 2019 you could have had a chance of getting:
142
144
150
153
155
158
170
180
185
800
802
HST

Now admittedly it's somewhat less varied at:
150
155
158
170
185
800
802
