Arriva in Leicester have Thurmaston and Wigston garages which whilst almost 9 miles apart, are still considered very local.
Until 2009 there was also Southgates in the City Centre which was in between them, and a historical one would be Sandacre which was less than a mile from Southgates until it closed in the 90's and the Thurmaston garage opened.

The old MPTE garage at Speke Road, Garston, long demolished, and the Speke garage of MPTE were, according to a street map I havem a couple of miles apart. Speke is still open, and is located on Shaw Road.

The two depots had a bit of a history in later years.

Garston was a former tram depot that had been upgraded for buses. I believe it closed at dereg, operations passing to Speke - a purpose built bus depot that had been built in the 1950s for the burgeoning overspill estates that needed more buses to serve them.

Garston was mothballed until 1990 though think it was used for terminating vehicles etc when it reopened at the expense of Speke depot. Then Speke depot reopened and Garston closed for the final time in 1996, standing derelict until the mid 2000s when it was redeveloped. Speke has since been redeveloped too albeit on the same site.

Go-Ahead London's (now closed) garages at Ferry Lane, Rainham (ex Blue Triangle) and Belvedere Industrial Estate (ex East Thames) can't be more than a couple of miles apart, although not a short journey by road...

In the days of Tyne & Wear PTE their two depots in Sunderland, Fulwell Road and Hylton Road, were in close proximity to each other - about a mile as the crow flies.

Back in Glasgow Corporation/Greater Glasgow PTE days, Gartcraig, Parkhead & Bridgeton garages weren't that far apart as the crow flies and they as a trio weren't far from 'the big smoke' that was Larkfield. Odd to think that Bridgeton was the first of those 4 to close, but is now the only one still extant (of course as the home of the Glasgow Vintage Vehicle Trust).
