This may not qualify being both a diverted service and a Sprinter/Pacer combination, but I did travel on a 158/bus seat 142 that ran non-stop from Hebden Bridge to Leeds via Dewsbury, 28miles in 30mins, running fast through the 9 intermediate stations.

I of course sat in the 158, not the bat out of hell Pacer.;)

Would the Tarka Line (Exeter to Barnstaple) count, taking in consideration that most of the stations on that route are request stops?

At one point the three car class 144's were used on the Leeds to Sheffield fasts, this was in the days before the service was extended to Nottingham. Quite fun belting through Woodlesford, Normanton, Darton, Wombwell, Elsecar and Chapeltown at around 50 odd mph and on jointed track too!

It'd be nice to travel on a three car class 144 from Leeds to Nottingham to get some real bouncy action.

I’d say so as not every train stops at every station. Mon - Sat, more or less all trains stop at Crediton, Yeoford (x), Copplestone (x), Morchard Road (x), Eggesford and Umberleigh (x).

Only a handful of trains stop at Newton St Cyres, Lapford & Kings Nympton, all by request. Only two trains a day in each direction stop at Chapelton and Portsmouth Arms, both also by request.

Location
Grimsby Town
The Saturdays only Cleethorpes to Sheffield trains are usually run with Pacers and run principle stations only Cleethorpes to Barnetby (Cleethorpes, Grimsby Town, Habrough and Barnetby) skipping 5 stations along the way. A very nice ride it is too :D

It's quite a thrill to hit 75mph on a pacer! It's like riding a horse and all the up and dowm motions are a great way to burn stomach fat!
