Glasgow Central must have quite an impressive list as well actually, although I don’t know the west of Scotland too well. Anyone have a rough idea for it?

If you include both High Level and Low Level it will be well in excess of 60 - and that's not including any services outwith the old Strathcyde Passenger Transport area!

Add on Edinburgh, Girvan, Carstairs, York, Ardrossan Town, Paignton (1tpd Summer Saturdays), Manchester Victoria (1tpd Sunday) and you'd get 44! However I don't think any TPEs terminate in Manchester Piccadilly so it would instead be 43 for Glasgow Central assuming we haven't missed anything which is rather high!

Also a BTN to CBG service terminates early at Royston (07:31 from STP platform B) however after May 2020 timetable, it now runs the full route to Cambridge, if that counts as 39.

Ah, I didnt see this service because I was looking at late May/early June on RTT to avoid the emergency timetable.

You have listed Kingston twice but have missed off Strawberry Hill
Oddly there is a train that starts at Southampton Airport Parkway on M-F but there is not a return working

Chelmsford has some peak only services to and from London that usually go into / start from the Down Goods Loop just north of the station.

I don't think there are any passenger services to Chelmsford from London. They all arrive empty before forming morning peak services to London. I stand to be corrected though.

How more interesting this thread would be if it accepted the inverse. I can only imagine the likes of Manchester, Edinburgh, Glasgow Central, Clapham Junction etc would have up to double the number of examples - especially if it counted destinations/originations served by non regular but still pre-planned diagrams...?

For example, I can't help but think of the time last year when Aberdeen had a service to Guildford. Taking a step back, it seems extraordinary how the railway can bring those two places together out've chance, as opposed to actually having a valid reason for connecting a town in the SW of England, to a city in the NW of Scotland, alone on its own merits. Though perhaps this is the journies version to my 'unbelievable rolling stock allocations' thread (imagine having Ladybank linking up to Winshester or Guildford for example!).

Add Birkenhead North to that.

In the case of both Liverpool Lime Street and Manchester Piccadilly, do EMR still terminate a train at Ely?

Does anything terminate at Worcester Foregate Street these days?

Pembroke Dock (Summer Saturdays only)
