I will start with Northolt Park whose bus map still shows the 140 as going to Heathrow which was cut back to Hayes and Harlington in 2019
It of course fails to tell anyone wanting to go to Heathrow about the SL9 and the fact that there is only one stop that it serves out of the 2 near the station so one could easily go to the wrong one

Faversham, Broadstairs and Sittingbourne stations have bus maps dating from around 2010 (can’t remember for sure). They are now very out of date and misleading since many route withdrawals and changes.

Kent County Council believe it’s the responsibility of Southeastern, and Southeastern believe they are the responsibility of Kent County Council. So, they will remain there as a museum piece due to our lack of joined up thinking with public transport.

Barmouth - refers to Emmas Coaches and GHA Coaches Services (8 years since they closed)
Sticking in Gwynedd, as of April 2024, the poster directly outside Bangor Train Station was at least 7 years old.

References Express Motors who ceased in December 2017. Eifion s Coaches on route 63, which they stopped operating in April 2023.

Another one which isn't the same but is similar, the National Rail knowledgebase for Chester Rail Station tells people that local buses are operated by First. First haven't operated in the city since they sold up to Stagecoach in January 2013. TFW and NRE both won't update it.

Preston indirectly had reference to the 21 and 29 (ended in 2002) on one board until recently I believe. It's all automated now.

Believe Lancaster, Morecambe etc are all up to date now too

One of the issues is who owns and has access to the timetable display case. Just because the timetable case is at a railway station doesnt mean it is the TOC who has access to it,

Sometimes it is the Bus Operator and sometimes it is the local authority.

Someone bought non-standard cases for these map displays, and no-one has a key to open them!

To quote the over-used phrase, ‘you couldn’t make it up’!

It’s good to know the reason behind this. It bugs me every time I visit these stations!

Folkestone West (on the Dover-bound side) has a map pre-dating at least three rounds of changes (I think from 2018/2019) that is likely a similar case.

Not really out-of-date, but the bus map outside Loughborough station only has the routes of the local operator Kinchbus.
