I was wondering if anyone on here knows the speed that a train, on the Tyne and wear metro between Monument and St. James, has to slow down to, in order for the approach controlled signals (there are two of them), on the approach to St. James, to change from red to yellow?

For those wondering, this is a video showing the ride from Monument to St. James. The signals in question are numbered 470 and 472.

Speed limits go from 60 to 40, 20, 15 and finally 10.

In practice drivers will power up to a speed of 32 kph, coast, power back up to 17kph, coast, then a final 24 kph (all approximate as each driver uses a slightly different speed and the acceleration of trains can be quite different). The 32/17/24 combination means no braking required on approach to both signals (except the last one if a train in platform 2 has been set the route to Monument platform 3). Only braking needed is when stopping the train on the platform.
