This is my first time going to Newcastle and rising the Tyne and Wear Metro system this weekend coming, what would be the best ticket options ? pay as you go or day pass, looked on their website they mentioned a POPS card which must be topped up with £10 initially, is it worth it ?

Hope you can advise.

TIA

You can buy a one day all zones ticket from any metro machine for £5.40. includes the Shields ferry and the train between Newcastle and Sunderland. More details on the nexus.org.uk web site.

The pop card is designed for regular users.
