I visit there quite regularly and I think it's well worth a visit. It's open from 10am-4pm only at weekends and costs £2.50 for adults and £1.25 for children. Take a look at http://www.vintagetrains.co.uk/tlw.htm
for some info and a list of locos that can be seen there. There's a small building where you enter the museum which has many small railway artefacts and paintings which is quite interesting to spend a bit of time in. The rest of the museum is outside and holds plenty of old diesel and steam locos and even an 86. You are allowed to wander around pretty much all of the site but make sure not to go too far as it is the CT depot each side of the museum. There's also alot of larger railway artefacts out there like some old pantographs and an engine from a first generation DMU. There's normally something going on outside aswell such as a bit of shunting or some restoration work being carried out on a loco.

I've got some of galleries on my fotopic site which show the photos opportunities available:

Please note that on the final collection some of the 47's shown have now been removed from the site.

Hope this helps.

Nice shots. Quite a bit to see by the looks of things! I've got it now on my list of places to visit as soon as possible!
