Just when you thought seeing a class 395 Javelin at Eastbourne last year was mega rare...
UK railtours are running a new railtour, featuring their ever popular poppy class 395.
On November 12, a 12 car 395 will run from London to Tonbridge, then to littlehampton via Gatwick and Horsham. After a 20min break, it runs via hove to Preston park and BRIGHTON!
then along via Lewes to Eastbourne and hastings .

DiscussAn exploration of Sussex coastal branches by Southeastern Javelin!
The day before Remembrance Sunday has become established as the date for a charity special in aid of the Royal British Legion. This year’s trip will be a very special one indeed, taking a pair of Southeastern High Speed Javelin trains to some very unusual places along the Sussex Coast where they will make a rare sight indeed.
Departing from St Pancras International we make our way out of the capital by way of High Speed 1, running via Ebbsfleet, Gravesend, Strood and along the picturesque Medway Valley Line to Paddock Wood and Tonbridge, continuing through the Downs to Redhill. Here we reverse, making an extraordinary sight as we pass Gatwick Airport and onward via Crawley and the idyllic Mid-Sussex route to reach our first Sussex terminus, Littlehampton.
After a twenty minute leg-stretch we reverse, heading through Hove to Preston Park for a quick reversal before reaching the Regency resort of Brighton – an opportunity for a unique photo in this fine old station.
We continue along the Sussex Coast, passing Lewes and Polegate as we approach Eastbourne, and after a further reversal we pass Bexhill-on-Sea to arrive at our final seaside resort, Hastings. After another short break we take a circuitous route back to London St Pancras via Battle, Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge, Sevenoaks, Bat and Ball, Swanley, Chislehurst, the Lee Spur, Dartford, Gravesend, Rochester (reverse), Gravesend, Ebbsfleet and High Speed 1.
