Hi folks!
From june 26th to july 4th I spent some days in the UK taking photos of the usual train traffic
I took an AerLingus flight from Vienna to London Gatwick, but first I took this photo at the airport of Vienna:
The next shots were taken at Gatwick airport
As I had some time to get to London I decided to go via Reading, where I took those photos of FGW HSTs:
I still had some time to get on the Riviera sleeper to Cornwall, so I took some photos at Kings Cross:
Those photos were taken on friday evening at London Paddington:
a departing HST:
an underground train zooming past:
The following morning I got off the sleeper in Par -to go back to Dawlish. Here you can see the Class 150 arriving in Par:
I went to Langstone Rock to photograph the two railtours which run on that day. But first, I took some photos of the normal traffic:
Some minutes later, the "Kernow Growler" from Birmingham to Penzance, hauled by a pair of DRS class 37, came by:
The 40145 from Portsmouth was about 30 minutes late:
Now I went to Totnes, to spend some time at the South Devon Railway. Here you can see a XC HST passing the SDR station:
D6737 hauled the "driver's experience train" today:
The steam hauled passenger train is arriving at Totnes:
On the way to Buckfastleigh we passed D6737 on the return trip to Totnes:
The steam train is ready to depart at Buckfastleigh:
On the way back to Totnes station, a XC Voyager came by:
I planned to photograph the return trip of the Kernow Growler on the Royal Albert Bridge, so I went to Saltash, where I took the photo of the HST crossing the bridge:
It would be a perfect photo spot - without the house...
the railtour:
I even had some good luck and was able to photograph the train departing Plymouth:
For the other second railtour I went back to Totnes:
40145 on the way back:
