I've noticed that at moorgate underground station on the metropolitan line that trains alway come to an almost complete standstill about 2/3 of the way down the westbound platform before starting up again to get to the front of the platform.

The trains always seem to do that there, and I've not seen it happen anywhere else. I'm just curious if anyone knows why this is?

edit: Thanks for moving the question to this forum, I completely failed to notice it when looking where to post.

Ah that makes sense. Thank you for the answer, I don't have to wonder about it every day now :)

Does anyone know if District Dave's website will be updated with the resignalling that is taking place on various LUL lines, like isn't the Jubilee line using a form of ATO now??

Maybe on the 'new' District Dave site, but as Dave has sadly passed away... it depends who is around and knowledgable enough to write about it...

Ohh, I didn't realise that he had passed away.

Why don't you visit the website and you may find the answer

Yeah I pretty much read all of the signalling section about two weeks ago, but neglected to read the forum. Thanks :)
