When I travelled, every bus we passed was a new one. Having gone from start to end, I saw all of them!

Wonder why they substituted one? And did Wi-Fi work for you?

It was probably substituted later on in the day and could have been one of the peak shorts to Barnet. I definitely saw bus 203 at DeHavilland at 1645.

I'll try the Wifi today (UPDATE: Doesn't seem to work yet).

Clearly the judges haven’t been on many modern buses!

The driver of the 601 was wearing the full Comet uniform today. Obviously with drivers changing routes during the day, this was inevitable.

At least one of the new Comet buses is now starting to rattle! Didn't take long did it!

And today, another bus sitting in for one of the new ones. Perhaps the rattle got worse.

I also noticed Uno has now given a name to another route number, the Alban Way. I assume it's for the 601 as it says Welwyn to Borehamwood via St Albans on the livery.

On a 602 tonight and it has been refurbished to look a little like the 614/644 Comet. LED lighting, USB sockets but no Wi-Fi. Different seat coverings too.

Pretty decent though. Not sure how many are being done but driver mentioned four having been done so far.

They were the buses that had the cheap red e-leather which got horrendously vandalised, hence why they needed to be refurbished. Very nice buses though.

Are there any updates on the 610 upgrade, given that it was planned to relaunch early next year? I read somewhere that they are ordering new Mercedes Citaros, is that true? Hopefully it is, as they are much nicer than Enviro 200s.

From a Route-One article (http://www.route-one.net/articles/Operations/The_bus_for_everyone)
Uno is expecting a delivery of new vehicles in April 2018. “We’ve got six new single-deck buses for our 610 service which operates from Luton to Hatfield,” Jim says. “They will be high-spec and are being built at the moment. Following on from that are other things to consider, like electric buses.”

The new MCV Evora/Volvo B8RLE has been ordered for the 610:

http://www.volvobuses.co.uk/en-gb/news/2018/feb/number-one-choice-for-uno-bus.html
Commercial Bus Operator Uno Bus has purchased six new Volvo B8RLE single deck buses, as a part of a planned fleet upgrade on its Hertfordshire bus network.

The bespoke vehicles, with MCV Evolution bodywork, will serve students of the University of Hertfordshire and members of the local community on a route with stops including Luton Airport, The University of Hertfordshire, Hatfield and ending at Cockfosters.

Jim Thorpe, Managing Director for Uno Bus, said: “We went through a formal tendering process and Volvo came out on top when it came to the size, capacity and appeal. The introduction of these six new single deck vehicles forms part of our transformational programme, creating an enhanced customer experience for our passengers.

“We’ve worked closely with Volvo to create an interior that will provide the very best in comfort and facilities. We’ve also included sofa seating at the front of the bus which gives the customers more space and offers a relaxed, lounge type feel.”

Am I right in thinking these are the first Volvo's Uno have had?
The definitely had some ex-Go Ahead London Volvo B7TL/Wright Geminis, but I think these might be the first new ones they have. (not my picture)
