thanks Ikar for posting it here! :)
A 90+Mk3+DVT,
right, it's time to start practising 110mph shots of a passing train again

What the heck is with the title? I don't think May is anytime urgent... Maybe if it was tomorrow only. Geez!

There is serious doubts as to whether this gen is real or not. I would love it to be true but I have my doubts. This was one response

How solid is this gen?

1), For what reason? (even the 390 sander program only requires 1 unit to
stand down at a time)
2), Where are the coaches coming from?
3), When are the traincrew refreshers starting (assuming it is Virgin staff)?
4), Have Network Rail agreed these paths at 110 or 100 MPH (depending on
coaching stock) on the West Coast?
5), Why starting 22nd & 29th May? – they’re not evening diagram period dates.
6), Has anyone seen the VWC diagrams for the dates questioned?
7), Is this just a belated April fools’ joke?

How solid? About as solid as the APT working the down Royal Scot tomorrow and
being hauled over the G&SW by 47163 is!!

Found this on WNXX by 37402

"Its been doing the rounds in VT mess rooms in the Midlands. Looks official, on headed paper too, although the version I saw at the end of last month quoted Freightliner 90s. An early April Fool I thought..."

The full quote made by 37402 is....

Had the same emailed to me earlier...

Unless the the timetable changes haven't been loaded into the timtabling system yet, some of the trains look extremely dubious. For example, there isn't a 1449 to Crewe (it is the 1446 to Glasgow).

Its been doing the rounds in VT mess rooms in the Midlands. Looks official, on headed paper too, although the version I saw at the end of last month quoted Freightliner 90s. An early April Fool I thought...

Only one Pendolino is going out of action so why more than one diagram?

Would be nice to see them on Holyhead runs with 47s :)

Aprils Fool is likely unless somebody screwed up big time....

EWS sleepers run almost daily ;) They're the same EWS 90s!

Bashing a 90 on the Caledonian Insomniac is rather different to bashing a 90 on a VWC MK3 in the daytime. I much prefer the latter, but hey, maybe that's also due to the fact the CI is incredibly expensive.

What's different about 110MPH than 125MPH ? :?

I'd at least see it, bashing it would be more preferred.

Julian G, I'm not going to bother going through my whole thing with 'one' and its loco-hauled trains, but a) they escaped my memory and b) they're only worth doing when heading into London so as to have the 90 on the front.
