The 7 for Kernow are (not sure how many were first London before)

33426- LK08NVJ
33427- LK58KHL
33428- LK58KHP
33575- SN09CDU
33592- SN09CFF
33600- SN09CFU
33601- SN09CFV
Obviously with the current situation things have changed but I do wonder why some many partial/open tops are required?

slightly off topic but L108 is the only bus ever to run for Glasgow Corporation, GGPTE, SPTE, Strathclyde Buses and First Glasgow. No other buses in existence can ever match this feat!, after being sold and then bought back.

Ribble ECW Atlanteans plus a few Bristol VRs transferred to Cumberland in 1986 then returned back to Ribble around 1989/90 with the same fleet numbers. At least one 2017 CBV 17S was still in full NBC livery

I remember being in Paignton bus station many years ago and saw stagecoach bus number 09999 reg JDZ2371. Someone there told me it had been sold by stagecoach and then later repurchased by them. I got told it wasn’t allowed to retain its original fleet number so was given 09999 instead.

This Leyland Leopard had an interesting history.

I think crosvile did in the 80s, it sold some VRTs and national's i think to SUT not 100%sure,then it gained school contracts then brought most of them back, not to sure if they gained their original number or not some one will know on here if they did.

I think this refers to some ex Crosville VRs that were subsequently repurchased by Crosville WALES (by then not associated with Crosville). Two that certainly came into that category were UMB338R (new as Crosville [NBC] DVL338, later DVG338 after re-engining with a Gardner engine), which became Crosville Wales DVG597, and MDM281P (new as Crosville [NBC] DVG281), which became Crosville Wales DVG602. Please see below.

There was also the curious case of the ten Merseyside PTE Fleetlines (CKC311-320L) that Crosville hired in 1983/4, painted in green, and numbered HDG937-946 (although not in registration order). After the hire period, they went back to Merseyside PTE, who painted them back into verona green and jonquil. At deregulation, being declared surplus to requirements by Merseyside PTE, a number of these were acquired by Crosville, but this time operated in Merseyside PTE's livery. A number of the original ten thus worked again for Crosville, but NONE of them reacquired the same number. Again, below, please find photos of a couple of examples.

CKC319L - Merseyside PTE 3019 - hired to Crosville, and numbered HDG939. Arrowe Park, April 1984.

But after deregulation, it was CKC313L - Merseyside PTE 3013 - that Crosville numbered HDG939. Belle Vale, Nov 1986.

CKC318L - Merseyside PTE 3018 - hired to Crosville, running as HDG943. Woodside, September 1983.

But AFTER deregulation, it was CKC319L (three years earlier running as HDG939 - picture above) that became HDG943. Hunts Cross, December 1986.

When Stagecoach East ended up selling off the former UCOC Huntingdon depot in the 1990s upon their purchase of Cambus, they also sold the current fleet to the new owner, a company by the name of Premier Bus. Four H-VVV Leyland Olympians and some Alexander Dash bodied Volvo B6's. Premier Bus ended up as part of Blazefield, which then sold the "Huntingdon & District" operations as they then were to a local independent. Almost 20 years after selling the depot, Stagecoach acquired the operator - and the Olympians and B6's they originally purchased were still there.

Some SKF-T Leyland Nationals sold by MTL in 1991 were reacquired in 1993 for MTL Manchester operations.
