Very sad news indeed. I have a shelf full of Middleton Press books.

I also looked after his sales stall on the Sussex Slammer momentarily whilst he went to the loo !

Yes i think i got nearly a hundred MP books now. I wonder how many books in total he authored? It must be over 500?

Sorry to hear the news. Wonder what will happen to the Middleton Press now that Vic has sadly passed away?

The most recent addition to my shelf of Middleton Press titles was "Branch Lines to Felixstowe and Aldeburgh" and although Vic didn't co-author this one, he did hand sign it in his capacity as 'Editor'.

Perhaps the really collectable copies will prove to be those that Vic didn't personally sign?! :|

Sad news. :( The books were always excellent. I'm glad he was able to be at home with his family at the end.

Yes, sad news. I ordered Middleton Press books to sell in my shop from 1988 until about 2010, and always did so by phone, which was almost invariably answered by Vic, whom I never met, but I got a favourable impression of him. Never encountered any problems dealing with him, either, unlike some other publishers!
