Victoria Line 'train cancellations'

Anyone have any idea why the frequency of the Victoria Line has seemingly fallen off a cliff in the past week or so?

Since last Friday, it has been marked as having 'minor delays due to train cancellations' every single day (and severe delays due to this on Friday evening).

I know other tube lines (in particular the Jubilee Line) have had this problem on and off for months/years, but the Victoria Line has never been a regular culprit for it until very recently.

I use the line regularly and in the last week have observed larger than usual gaps in the service, even off-peak when over 25% of the trains/drivers are out of service and unrequired, and also trains entering/leaving service at Seven Sisters off-peak when they usually wouldn't.

Just wondering if people more in the know on this forum have any idea what's going on, such as whether it's an issue with driver availability, train reliability or a mixture of both?

“Unavailability of Train Operators” is the internal term.
73.1% of service yesterday
82.6% on Friday
84.5% on Thursday
82.9% on Wednesday
etc.

On Thursday (20/3) evening, the Victoria Line had Severe Delays due to train cancellations.
What's going on? The train operators decided to take annual leave on the same week?

As you probably know already, train ops are allocated leave on a rostered basis, with virtually no flexibility to change except mutual changeovers with other drivers - thereby keeping the headcount for service availability.

So we'll need to look elsewhere for causes.

They may choose to cease working on Rest Days, which ordinarily forms some of the basis for service provision (opinions vary on the merit of this arrangement).

So while the language in the question is technically incorrect, the spirit is valid (fundamentally "Could this be caused by TOps choosing to enjoy their time off?").

I stand corrected

Yesterday evening (27/3), it was Severe Delays again due to train cancellations. I think this is at least week 3 of this issue.
