Sunday April 8th. Anybody know if any drags taking place? The 10:55 ex Glasgow-Preston and 16:00 return, both via Dumfries could be candidates

From Virgin Website:

The West Coast Replacement Shuttle will operate an hourly service in both directions, between London Euston and Nuneaton, via the Chiltern route calling at Coventry. Journey times via this route are just under 2 hours for Coventry and 2 hours 20 minutes for Nuneaton.

Hourly services will operate in both directions between;

* Rugby and Manchester Piccadilly, calling at Nuneaton, Stoke-on-Trent, Macclesfield and Stockport.

* Rugby and Crewe via the West Midlands route, calling additionally at Stafford.

Services on the North Wales route will start / terminate at Crewe.
London Euston to Chester services are withdrawn in both directions.

There will be one service in each direction between Preston and Glasgow Central, via Dumfries. They will operate at 1055 from Glasgow Central and 1600 from Preston.

Hi,
The S&C diversions are booked for 221's.
It looks on Easter Sunday to be the same one returning back from Preston to Glasgow.
It's a shame there aren't any other early afternoon diversions this year.

Anyone know the timings of the Euston - Nuneaton shuttles?

Also what stock are they using? Presumably it'll be Voyagers?

Slightly off topic but just on the subject of the Chiltern route, are the 67s operating as normally on Good Friday?

Chiltern are operating a "revised Saturday service" tomorrow, see link below.

So no Loco-hauled, or Aylesbury-Risborough bubbles tomorrow, I fear.:(
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---

Unless I'm missing something these links only give the times at Euston, Coventry and Nuneaton.

I'm actually looking for pass times through the Chiltern area such as High Wycombe or Princes Risborough. Also what is the exact route they are taking between Euston and the Chiltern line?

Would appreciate any info anyone has regarding this as well as info about the stock being used.

Thanks in anticipation, and Happy Easter everyone!

Click options in the corner, then click detailed, has all its timing points.

And it says on OTT that its timed for a DMUV, meaning a Voyager so its very very likely these will be operating it.

There is an additional Holyhead drag operating today, the 16:10 ex Euston is booked for a 57 west of Crewe. Returns empty to Oxley.

Just noticed, from browsing on rail.staging.swlines.co.uk that there is a Virgin train from Edinburgh to Crewe tonight (1817) scheduled to travel over the Settle & Carlisle line. Looking at Virgin's timetable it is there and runs until 12 May. Never spotted this before! Normally departs Edinburgh 1852 but there's engineering at the north end of the WCML.

Yep, it has run for the last 2 weeks. Unfortunately the only daylight VT diversion over the S&C was last Easter Sunday. Northern's Dalesrail is very popular.
