Have GWR given theirs a name like the Virgin Azuma yet? Do they plan to? Seems like all of the units these days have a brand/model name.

Thanks,
Ross

If First have a sense of humour (1st April 2018 naming date?) why not call them "Satsuma" and use an orange citrus fruit as a logo (ideal for train type in TT headers?)
1. Really annoys Virgin/Stagecoach as it undermines their brand
2. Satsuma is also town and district in Western Japan

Has the timetable plan for VTEC and the new trains been decided yet???

What's going to be added to the current weekday offering of...

xx00 Edinburgh (Aberdeen/Inverness)
xx03 Leeds
xx09 Newark (2 hourly) York (2 hourly)
xx30 Edinburgh (A few still terminate at Newcastle)
xx33 Leeds

With regard to the weekend services, Leeds has only just been increased to half hourly on Saturdays but still doesn't have a half hourly service on Sundays until the late afternoon...

Doesn't Leeds (and beyond) become 3 per hour?

Don't think so. There are significantly more extensions beyond Leeds, but I don't think there's a higher frequency service as such.

It's so long since the last thread discussing the finer details of the ECML plans that I cannot really remember, but the agreed "track access contract"is here:

http://orr.gov.uk/__data/assets/pdf...inline-new-track-access-contract-redacted.pdf

That should include all the details needed to work out what is intended by Virgin as the stock and infrastructure becomes available...
