I have saw a couple of pendolinos in Edinburgh recently..

Will we be seeing more of them on a permanent/ regular basis going to Birmingham instead of 221s?

That 10:51 Edinburgh to Birmingham New Street on a normal weekday, is that likely to busy?

Equally, what are weekday services like between Newcastle and Birmingham New Street on Cross Country?

Regards to the Cross Country, it would be in the off peak so hope it should be quiet.

Normally not overly busy you should get a seat. But the xx27 service to Reading that starts at Newcastle will be less busy than the xx07 to Plymouth that comes from Scotland.

Don't think XC is ever quiet!

Although it isn't always as bad as people make out!

It is actaully at the extremes. Edinburgh - Leeds (except between York and Leeds) is rarely full, often empty to be honest.

Many passengers still prefer to change at York.
