Hi, I recently bought a Virgin West Coast off-peak return ticket, which I will not now be using because I needed to change the outward travel date, so I'll be buying different tickets for the journey. I understand I can get a refund on the unused tickets minus £10, and that the easiest way to do this is just to never pick up the tickets, and phone Virgin customer services. However, although I won't be using these particular tickets as I'll be travelling on a different off-peak (flexible, NOT advance) ticket, I would still quite like the option of using the free seat reservation that goes with them for the return journey. And obviously, to do that, I need to actually pick up the tickets. So my question is... if I pick up the tickets, but don't use them (except for the seat reservation - but that never gets marked if you use it), is that going to complicate the process of getting a refund? Thanks!
