Just found out Virgin XC are on strike again with a limited TT (annoyingly only 1tph on most of the network), I normally like getting the xx58s from BRI-BHM as you normally get a whole table to yourself, but it looks like the xx28s from BRI are running on this line. I'd better be off now, as Friday trains "oop norf" are normally quite busy.

There's a TT on the NR website FYI

There appeared to be several Crosscountry services running today that were in multiple voyager formation

Certainly were a fair few if not the majority of XC services passing here (on Birmingham west suburban lines) were pairs of Voyagers. Central Trains also appeared to be making an effort with more pairs of 170s going past than usual.
The HST turn surprisingly produced as well today, although it was around 40 late and behind the Cheltenham Racex which was 47851 leading this morning.

Is there any sign of an end to this dispute? They seem to have enough managers/non-union staff to be able to provide a skeleton service, with a fairly established Sunday pattern.

the reason the hst ran late was because one end had problems again this morning, so they ran it down to Wakefield, took it around the corner and then down barnsley... was 1 hr late at sheffield.

Its handy having friends at Virgin
