Almost correct. 91107 actual had another repaint after the Skyfall vinyls came off, it's now in EC grey.

Not just the East Coast livery, it has a slightly modified version and a name (though one stolen from another 91), as seen in this close-up. Didn't notice the double-pantograph at the time as I was supprised to see another livery variation.

Also, in the NRM, was the model shown in the attached image. This, the signage claimed, was a class 91. No it isn't, it quite clearly is a DVT (and a mrk3 one at that I think). They also had a 140mph linespeed board and a claim that that speed is no longer attained due to track and signalling not being up to it. I thought the signalling was the only problem.

There is an 82 in flying scotsman livery, it was on the back of the train hauled by 91108 on Saturday.

82205 yes - but it's silver underneath the vinyl. I think what Jamie meant that there are no more in blue awaiting a repaint.

are the mark 3 coaches on the HST going to get repainted as well?

Didn't note any numbers, but I travelled on the 0959 from NCL-KGX yesterday, and the Mk 3 coaches looked as if they'd been spruced up both internally and externally, they looked almost as good as new. Those Mk 3 coaches really are superb. On another now, on the 2000 KGX-NCL, and riding very smoothly.

why did they remove the SkyFall vinyls?

Didn't seem to be on for very long at all.

And what's the thinking in having 2 pantographs?

what about highlighting the older east coast livery (silver) and the new one (grey)?

Is this the last to be treated?

Will East Coast repaint the earlier silver examples?

It's possible, as 91107 was repainted into grey after the skyfall vinyls were removed, but I doubt it will be a priority. Last I heard, their mk3's were getting painted next.

Also 91110 has been repainted grey (and a new set of vinyls to freshen up)

which was silver?

I presume the silver was paint rather than vinyls?

Guess I prefer the grey but still a horrible livery... perhaps better in daylight. I guess as a base livery it is not bad and could be worked with just hate the present stripe

More importantly how many coaches/91s/DVTs wear the silver varient? I notice some rakes contain both

And the EMT set looks a right state

91110 was silver, with vinyls over the top. Going by the roof (which is not vinyled) it has now been painted grey, but to confuse things further the vinyls are silver so it looks exactly the same just fresh!

I think 6 of the 31 sets are silver. They geneally stay together in their sets so if you've seen some mixed up that's pretty rare I'd say.

I think 91110 looks good with the Battle Of Britain aircraft stickers and black areas. However I agree that the coaches (and the plain locos) could do with something better than the present 'magenta stripe and little else'. If you ask me the stripe should be red and the bodyside above it (on the coaches at least) should be the same colour as the doors. Then, replace the text beneath the line with a small 'EAST COAST' and one at end of each carriage and 'INTERCITY' at the other.
