The Virgin people have managed to destroy the livery details on 91114. It looks stupid and really ruins the whole effect.

Perhaps they should have left that as one of the ones that would stay in EC livery until the revinyl/repaint. It's no "for the fallen" but as they weren't sticking the temporary livery on all sets it would have made sense to do another one first.

It's the first time I've ever seen the Durham Cathedral livery.

I think they missed a trick with Sir Bobby Robson, they should have used a Virgin logo with black instead of red! Anyway, I'm happy that it looks like they're keeping the names.

Would anyone happen to know what services the Virgin liveried 225 sets were working on Bank Holiday Monday?

I passed two northbound sets while I was travelling from Edinburgh to York on the 09:52 Aberdeen - Kings Cross; one in the vicinity of Alnmouth and another set at Durham where I was able to identify DVT 82219 on the rear, but I am curious to know which locos these two sets were working with.

Using RTT the headcodes are 1S11 (10:00 Kings Cross to Aberdeen): http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/Y62230/2015/05/04/advanced

But this would have been a HST. Not sure if this matches with your observations or not.

The Durham one was 1S15 (11:30 Kings Cross to Edinburgh):
http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/Y62230/2015/05/04/advanced

Prehaps requesting these in the TOPS request thread might help.

Are there any images of 91104 or its DVT partner and the new led lights?

Not sure of how much interest this will be but the set operating the 1905 Leeds - KX tonight was in Virgin livery, albeit with an East Coast liveried coach about half way down!

91117 and 91119 reportedly have LED headlights as well now.

Just seen on Facebook that 103 & 128 have new LEDs as well. Adjusting accordingly.

Apologies if this has already been asked, but wasn't it said on this thread that the HST design would have been finalised earlier this month? Or did I read it somewhere else?

I was under the impression that it would be unveiled this month; still. Ot a peep of it.

In other news, 91132 is now in VTEC livery! Updating accordingly. :D

82220 is the latest DVT to get painted (along with set BN18).

I don't know which set it is but I've noticed there is a silver/grey mk4 set that has one red and white coach inserted into it.

As far as the HSTs are concerned, I got a tip off that 43311 and 43312 will be the first powercars revinyled into VTEC colours. No idea as to the set though. The whole thing may just be platform end wibble, so don't hold your breath.

I have updated the original list on the first page. I've had exams the last 2 months but everytime there's a change this will now be updated ASAP. I have also noticed there is a list on page 6 of this thread as well from 59CosG95.

Thank You, Tommy

91107 has also been done-and the Skyfall nameplate is still there, thankfully!

As I write this I still prefer east coast. Although it does look like a bit of a bodge of the 91s livery. I don't know maybe it's me. I'm going to get a coke..

Thanks,
Ross

I think out of all designers, Ray Stenning being an enthusiast and understanding the different body designs on both trains and buses, made sure the livery was adapted correctly for the HST and not a'botched' 91 job.

The East Coast livery always looked to me as an undercoat with a 'rail barbie' pink stripe.
