Hello ladies and gents,

I’m about to sit a VSE. Would be grateful if any of you guys could pass some tips on please, particularly for section 3 where you have to carry out both tasks together (ie. how many incorrects on the non priority side are acceptable?)

TIA!

Look for the patterns and the sequence and just stay calm, I found that prioritising the track on the left first help me pass, anyway good luck.

try not to get too drawn in by the secondary task otherwise you ebs up prioritising that one! it’s really not as bad as you think. There’s also a video on youtube which shows you what it will be like.
Good luck!

Be comfortable, use a laptop or desktop computer and make sure the kids and wife are gagged.

Switch off/unplug phones too.
That too...I remember my phone ringing during mine which nearly went wrong. Luckily it was okay and I passed (not a problem in itself as it’s always on vibrate, but it was linked to the computer and the screen went from VSE to phone screen).

Cheers guys, appreciate the advice!

I’ve had a good trawl through the forum and the key for this test seems to be (on section 3) prioritising the primary task without letting the secondary task distract you from the main objective - obviously get as many as you can on the secondary but aim for zero/minimal errors on the primary task
