If this is in response to my original post, before I changed it, my apologies, I got my wires crossed: In my haste to post a reply I failed to recognise that the 06:46 Newcastle - Glasgow was the morning Northern/Scotrail service - The class 1 headcode threw me. Daft really, given that I used to travel on it so often a few years back!Didnt realise XC signed via Dumfries, or would it have been a Virgin man subcontracted to drive/route conduct?
Virgin Trains East Coast High Speed Train with power car 43320 leading, the train was diverted from its usual route via Berwick because of flooding at Alnmouth,1F01 Newcastle - Edinburgh (originally 1S01) stands in platform at Carlisle on 22/11/2016
HST diverted via Carlisle due to flooding on the ECML on 22/11/16. I believe it was the early Stirling departure that diverted.
I found this photo from Flickr member garstangpost.t21 that I follow.
