Hopefully a quick one. In August me and the other half will be going Wakefield Westgate to Kings Cross with a Two Together railcard. Is there a destination option, using Virgin East Coast trains, with a Travelcard for the underground etc the day we get there?

Is this a day trip using Advance fares?

Can I assume you will not be travelling during the morning peak?

An Off Peak Day Travelcard (ODT) for Zones 1-6 will be £8 each.

If you're not going beyond Zones 1 & 2, you may be better off using Oyster/Contactless, rather than a Travelcard. The cap for Zones 1-2 would be £6.50.

Yes, going down around dinner time and having the afternoon/night in London before going to Innsbruck on train the following day. Just wanted to be able to travel around London with some sort of day pass thingy for the underground.

It's going to be cheaper, if you have a contactless credit or debit card, to use that for your travels.
