Would they even be able to operate at a higher frequency? They already often have to pause approaching Bank in the peaks don't they?

Any increase in capacity would probably have to come from introducing a fully "walk through" design of train - which I think is what is planned anyway with the New Tube For London project?

Yes the new stock will have wall through, personally i dislike trains like that as it feels more like being on a giant metal snake but hey ho that's where they are all going now...

W&C will be one of the last to be upgraded under DTP (unless that's changed again?) so probably be well into the 2030s before the new stock arrives there.

On Fridays from 28 May a reduced 4-train peak service will operate due to “rolling stock overhaul”.
