Afternoon All,

Last month I paid a visit to somewhere that I haven't been to since my trainspotting days of the 1950s - Waterloo East. Despite some modernization, it still retains much of its Victorian splendour and character.

A selection of the pictures that I took there is now on Flickr and, if anyone would like to have a look, this is the first one in the Photostream :

RD11535. South Eastern 375/8 Class EMU 375 816 arriving at Waterloo East. by Ron Fisher, on Flickr

Hope they're of interest.

Some very nice pics.

Waterloo East is indeed a very welcome survivor and retains the trappings of a good medium sized station with Victorian and inter-war architecture.

As someone who's been using the routes in that area for the last twenty-five years, the changes in the last ten or so have been quite pronounced!
