Ever since most Watford Junction express stops (and indeed any south of Warrington) were eliminated the quickest option by far is to go up to Euston and come back down again nonstop.

Can one ticket cover this?

Can one ticket cover this?

Yes, there are two sets of fares from Watford to north WCML destinations, Not London and +Via London (what on earth the + is for I have no idea given that you hardly need to get the Tube from Euston to Euston). The latter are a bit more expensive (to avoid creating anomalies as otherwise people would just purchase them for travel from Euston) but cover this.
