Yeah, they repeated the message - trains are being delayed from Warrington northward due to the broken down train.

Several northbound cancellations at Preston, including this one (1400 Manchester Airport-Edinburgh), due to "a problem with the traction equipment".

DRS 6C27 failed in the down loop at Oxenholme, due to adhesion issues. The rear of the train was fowling the down main, hence why trains couldn't run northbound through the area.
The loco from southbound 6V24 was "borrowed" to pull the failed train into the loop, but had to also move the failed loco, as the loop wasn't big enough to take the failed train/loco plus the rescue loco.
